PLAYING IN THE PFLU
PFLU: (BASED ON 76 PLAYERS)(maximum number for U roster) Will be updated at the start of season.
PRIZES:
Top 10%, The top 7 Overall Finishers share 4,750 points. 1) 1,500, 2) 1,000 3) 700, 4) 600, 5) 500, 6) 300, 7) 150.
Weekly Winner: 265 points. 16 weeks X 265 = 4,250.
Perfekt Week 700 points.
Survivor: 3 games @ 200 points each = 600 points
All the following games will be worth 200 points each.
Locks, Upsets, Total Locks and Upsets, Bowl Games, Margin Of Victory (MOV), Regular Season winner, HIGH5, Low Position.
Total of 35 prizes and over 11,000 points.
TO PLAY:
Each Wednesday evening during the college season a new piksheet is put up on our website, we pick 16 games each week from the top 25 ranked teams in the country. Some games are played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All the prizes above are based off the 16 games. All picks are done using the computer or smartphone. Once submitted, your picks are emailed to the commissioner directly. All players picks will be posted on the website after the cutoff time on Saturday.
The deadline for picks each week is by Saturday at 11:30 am ET, if there is a game on Thursday or Friday the pick for just those games will be 1 hour before kickoff. Shortly after all the picks are due on Saturday all the PFLU players’ picks for that week will be posted on our website.
Stats will be updated after any Thursday or Friday games and as the games finish on Saturday.
To completely fill out the piksheet only takes a minute or two. We have players who will submit their picks within minutes of us posting the weekly piksheet and then there are players who will study all week long and get their picks in just before the deadline. Both systems have worked well and also have failed miserably, depending on who you ask.
The piksheet Entry Form is actually broken down into 2 sections, the weekly 16 games and the side games. First the 16 weekly games, all 16 games must be played, all games are worth 1 Pts (Points) each (already defaulted to 1 Pts.) the only other picks you need to complete this section is a lock and an upset of the week pick, you mark it by putting a 2 next to your pick, the total number of Pts in this section should be 18 Pts. A lock pick can be a favorite or underdog, an upset pick can only be an underdog team. Please look on the piksheet example below.
Side games, first is the Survivor side game, you pick 1 team each week, if that team covers you advance to the next week, if you lose you are out of this game, but will participate in the next Survivor.
Second, is Margin Of Victory game, this game is played the entire regular season, you pick 1 team each week and earn points by having the team you pick win, the more your team wins by, the more points you earn. This is the only game in the PFL that is not played against the spread.
Third, Season Lock and Season Upset pick (these 2 picks have nothing to do with the lock and upset picks on the weekly picks) could you use the same 2 picks, yes, but do not have too. The Season Locks and Season Upsets run until week 16.
Lastly is the High 5 contest, each week of the regular season you pick 5 games and earn points by winning games, winning all 5 games earn you 10 points for the week, winning 4 game 7 pts, 3 games 5 pts, 2 games 3 pts, 1 game 1 pt, 0 games 0 pts.
