In the NFL, if a game(s) is canceled before Saturday at 5:00 pm we will delete the game(s) from our piksheet entry form and we will play on, minus that game(s). It will be the players responsibility not to include the canceled game(s) for weekly and/or season lock and upset picks or any side games. We will do as much as possible to let all players know of this situation. If the game(s) are canceled after Saturday at 5:00, the game(s) will remain on the piksheet, but the game or games will not count and all side game picks must be changed to another team before the Sunday cut off time. If game is canceled after the cutoff time (1:00) the results of the game will result in a 0-0 tie.
During the regular season and the first 2 weeks of the playoffs, if a player picks all teams that are favorites, that player will have to pick an underdog team for the Weekly and Season Upset Contest.
Any player who does not submit picks for the week or submits their picks after the cutoff time, will receive 0 points for the week.
Cutoff times for the Thursday Night Football Game, Friday Night, Sunday morning will be at game time.

After week 20 we will be down to 10-13 players, the following week, Week 21 we will eliminate 7-10 players to get down to 3 players (we might have to eliminate more if we have more ties during the season). After Week 21 we will be down to just 3 players. The end of the regular season the top 14 teams will qualify for the playoffs (just like in the NFL). The team with the most wins at the end of the regular season will be the number 1 seed; the team with the second most wins will be the second seed, etc. The top 2 teams will receive a first round bye. (The XFL will use the same format as the NFL playoffs). Only the teams that make it to the Super Bowl (Week 22) will take home the points. In case of a tie during the playoffโs the higher seed in each playoff game will receive ยฝ point (home field advantage). In case of a tie during the end of the regular season, (between the top 14 teams) the first tie breaker will be total wins, the second tie breaker will be the team that was higher ranked in week 17, if there is still a tie we will then go back to week 16, 15, etc. (This contest runs the entire season, 22 weeks).
(3) Margin Of Victory: (referred as MOV) Each week you are responsible for selecting one team, you will find this game where you make the selections on the weekly piksheet (our program will keep tabs on the teams you have used to date). You can only choose a team once during the season (no duplicating, there is a heavy penalty for duplicate picks or missed picks) this is where the strategy takes place, you might not want to use all the high scoring offenses too soon in the season, or you might be left with very mediocre teams, the last few weeks of the regular season. There is no point spreads used for this game (the only game in the PFL that does not use a point spread). The way the game is played, if the team you picked wins, you will receive points based on how many points your team wins by that week. For example, if you picked Tampa Bay this week and they won by 10 points you would receive 10 points for that week (but then you cannot pick Tampa Bay again for the rest of the season) we keep a running score for the entire regular season. If you pick a team that loses that week, we will subtract the amount that they lost by from your total. (The MOV contest is capped at a maximum of -20 for a team that ends up losing, or if you make a duplicate pick or miss a pick for a week). The players who ends the regular season with the most points will win 500 points for first place, 250 points for second and 100 points for third place. (This contest runs the entire regular season, 18 weeks).
(3) Regular Season Champion: The players with the highest score at the end of the regular season (week 18) will win 500 points for first place, 250 points for second and 100 points for third place. This contest ends after week 18.
(4) Super Bowl Squares: The number of players (150) exceed the number of squares (100), the following is how we will distribute out the squares. The first quarter the top 100 players will receive a square, the second quarter any player who did not receive a square will receive a square first, the remaining squares will be given the number 1 players, then 2 etc. Each player is guaranteed at least 2 squares for the contest. If the game end in a tie at the end of regulation, the overtime will be considered the 4th Quarter (the 4th quarter is considered the final score). The total points will be 600 points, 150 points each square.
(1) Sacko Award: This prize goes to the player who ends up in last place. To win this contest, a player must pick every game of every week. If a player misses a game, we will award the next player with the lowest score who has made every pick of the season. That player will win an entry into next season's football pool. (This contest runs the entire season, 22 weeks).
(1) 100 to 1 Contest: Each week starting in Week 2 the 100th ranked player will have a chance to win the progressive pot if that player can win the Weekly Contest (finish first overall for the week). The contest will start at $10 in week 2 and increase each week by $10 until we have a winner. This contest runs the entire season.
(2) Survival Island: A double elimination game played like our Survivor Games, using NFL teams only. We use the exact Vegas Spreads (no added +.5), ties will result in a loss. There is a separate piksheet for this game and players must pick 1 team each week, may use the same teams more than once. We are capping the entries to 200 and the grand prize is $3,000. We have added a consolation Survival Island, for all players who start the season 0-2. They will start a separate Survival Island 2 and it will be a double elimination and the prize could be $400 or more, the exact total will depend on the number of entries, the exact total will be announced before the start of the season.
